Sarah Breu, BSc Kin CAT (C)

Director & Athletic Therapist

Sarah Breu is an Athletic Therapist and the owner of Return to Play Therapy.  She has extensive experience working with high level athletes and alongside coaching staff to support cohesive injury rehabilitation, return-to-play planning and injury prevention.  Sarah has worked with competitive athletes across a wide range of sports includinga long history of working with rugby, football, synchronized swimming, gymnastics, ninja warrior, basketball, volleyball and hockey.

Sarah provides injury rehabilitation that  helps athletes transition safely from injury back to sport through active, sport specific rehabilitation. Being inside Fitset Ninja allows her to bridge the gap between traditional rehab and full return-to-play by integrating real-world movement and sport demands directly into the rehabilitation process. This environment allows athletes to return stronger, more resilient, and confident in their abilities.

Her approach is holistic and movement focused, addressing the entire body rather than just the site of pain.  Sarah not only treats symptoms, but identifies and corrects the contributing factors that led to the injury in the first place. She uses a combination of hands-on manual therapy and active rehabilitiation, with being a RAPID NeuroFascial Reset Specialist, Graston Technique and K-Taping, and has additional training in gymnastics rebilitation and strength training.

Working out of Fitset Ninja facility also allows Sarah to offer added convenience for families, including the ability to treat parents and siblings while their kids are actively training. As an active person herself, Sarah understands the frustration injuries create when you can't do what you love, and she is driven to get clients moving again as quickly and safely as possible.

Sarah has always lived an active lifestyle, playing competitive fastball and figure skating in her youth along with watersports such as waterskiing, wakeboarding and knee-boarding. As an adult, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, biking, nordic skiiling, and dabbiling in other mountain sports. She is a mom to three ninjas and really enjoys adventuring with her family in the Bow Valley.

Sarah graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and completed her Post-Graduate Certification in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University. She has been in practive since 2010 and looks forward to heloing you - and your active kids - get back to whatever you define as "play," whether that's on the trails, slopes, walls, fields, gyms, or pools.
